pinkozcatI am trying to find out any information about my Great-great grandfather, Edward Davies, a tanner.

He migrated to Victoria from Wales in about 1856 and opened a tannery on the Yarra River.

Does anybody have any records of early tanneries in Victoria?

Any information at all may be of help to me.
